The MUI, no not an Oz trade union but one is hard put to spot the difference,is some sort of `Fatwah Commission’.

So, Indonesia’s top vege brains have declared Jihad `outlawed’ ( according to that bit of garbage `sharia law’ - what a bugger up in Canada on this bye the bye) except in war places. Bali, for instance, was a `non-war place’ so it was haram for the bombers to have done what they did, this, obviously, decided ex-eventu leaving room for debate at the time, one supposes.

Plasetine is a `war-place’ so its ok to kill and bomb people.Jihad, further ,is acceptable when Muslims are `oppressed’ and in defence of Islam.Thus, we have the great opinion of pea matter brained types, for there seems a lot to be desired in their piddling fatwah .

It marks also the distinction between civilised man and barbarrians, civilised man needs no fatwah, needs not to be told what is wicked and good. Common law is amoral , we are free to excercise our own judgement - on the other hand perhaps this is why so many in Oz are in a mad rush to overthrow common law , they too wish to issue fatwahs but by another name. Indeed, that is behind the Catholic notion of `freedom of conscience’, individuals are free to decide and act on trivial matters and at the edges of things but must obey higher up pooh bahs who bear the weight of deciding so many things. Each tier of govt. in Oz relates to that very well, they unbderstand it so well,are desirous to perfect it like the Spring St. Spivs’ blasphemy `laws’.

I’m straying. In other words, murder and savagery is wrong when committed in the not approved manner.

It does not reflect well on those adhere to fatwahs and sharia, who live by the dribblings of puerile primitives called mullahs, either.

And some can’t figure out why Indonesia is a cot case.

James Randi carries frequently enough, as in this week’s Swift report on the link below, accounts of those with serious medical conditions giving up medical treatment for soothesayers.

In Australia, two children have died this year because their respective parents, out of anguish more than anything else one suspects, turned to `alternative medicine’ including `psychics.’ The Australian Skeptics site contains a summary of a trial of one charlatan, which is yet to be conducted.

The most recent was reported in yesterdays Herald Sun . The Melbourne couple might be charged. I don’t believe that is warranted. The parents turned to quackery and have lost their child , punishment enough and no less because they have the rest of their lives to reflect on their stupidity and the upshot.

Is it, however, surprising, that some might resort to quackery? Theory is dismissed as mere thoery as opposed to pragmatism, while supersititous belief, primitive, at bottom , and mystoguogy are promoted as `equally valid approach to truth’.As for science, magic is just as sound, afer all that is all that `alternative medicine’ amounts to.

Each tier of govt is playing a heavy hand in the promotion of snake oil sellers. The Dept. of Environment, EPAs of the states are rank testimony to quackery, as also the Spring St Spivs windmills and other poliies which suck up to those who spare no effort in attacting sound science and solid scientists the polpotian commie greens.

Then there is the outrageous taxpayer kept practioners of quackery like sociologists, environmental science, religious studies, psychology.
Then take the mongrel beast `Medicare’ which includes funding for `alternative medicine’.

Good science shows out in medicine, sound theory over bunk wins. It applies as much to economics and law ,and history, bye the bye.But the massive amounts spent on quackery of govts and, bye the bye, the promotion of quackery in governments’ owned schools and those not so owned as well, one is more than just suggesting has made charlatanism as reputable as good science. This is another reason which renders charging the Melbourne couple a fatuous excercise.

Spivvery is a great boon, easy money for those who do nothing, put up nothing, but only hector, moralise and dictate and also sell snake oil. May worms rot their useless fat behinds.

The federal govt. reckons its new lpg excise tax will be neutral in its impact.

Excise taxes stuffed, in the 1970’s, a promising brandy market, with vineyards having stored in cellar fine cognac quality brandy which they had to virtually ditch.Because of WET the wine industry is in strife, contrary to some pundits, the high Oz dollar is not the culprit in the declining profitabilty, it is govt. extortion that is doing the damage.

Then there is the other problem: each 1 dollar of tax actually costs, at the minimum, $3, before trying to unravel the losses of govt. consumption due to the distortion of markets that induces; apart from the not modest consideration what govts purportedly supply is mostly garbabage whose only real beneficiaries are careerahist bullshit artists and jumped up clerks like those of ATO,DSS,Education,Environment,Transport, and so on and on and on.

No , your LPG excise will, like every other damned tax and spend and grab more policies of each tier of govt., cause real damage, imposes real losses which, along with scams like IRC, ensures some Australians are notionally not in poverty because of the scam DSS and why many more are edging closer to their subsistence line.

When Victorians return from Chrissy to-February holidays, they will return to find, on top of the mountains of debt the Vic govt. is piling upon their heads, the spivs are well into piling considerably more, as the first phases of the fast choo choo set will have been completed, commencing with the Pakenham line.

If the spivs in Spring St, anyone opposite, memebers of parties , voters reckon it’s such a splendid Chrissy present, let them cash in their own assets, whether that be merely their house/flat and incomes to pay for it.

Indeed, if compare to business, given the sheer damage done by govts’. spending sprees and accumulation of debt,is it not time to bring them under the full weight of common law and, indeed companies, corporations and etc acts parlaiments, much put by the ALP with one additional provision, not just cabinet members but each of their backbenchers, followed by their party, then voters who vote for such malfeascent thugs, should be personally liable:

When a govt. is bankrupt as of the Cain-Kirner govts., then that its it, they must sell up all their worldly possessions and forget about collecting their parlaimentary super plus benefits.
When they sink all and sundry into recessions and depressions, they should also face stiff, non-negotiable prison sentences.

These sort of puntive prospects, one more than suspects, would cure the likes of the spivs in Spring St of their spendthrift habits.
