The Vic govt are thieves, extortionists and racketteers.

It would be safer, defiinietly cheaper, and more likely to be far more civilised than the pack of thugs now in Spring St, if the govt benches were replaced with spastic mutant gerbils.

Fight fire with fire draws attention which is just one more instance of a long record of the Bracks led communist thugs in finding ways to screw af few more millions out of all and sundry , over and above the main taxes.

BRACKS TAX SLUG IS NOT KOSHER
Steve Bracks and his Labor cronies are back to the old tricks of their mentors in the disastrous Cain/Kirner era. They have dressed up a major tax hike affecting pensioners and retirees who can ill aford it in some emperor’s clothing with supposed expansion of a couple of low level welfare programs. But the truth is that with a windfall gain in stamp duty, GST proceeds and other revenue (not to mention motorist taxes through speeding fines) and with a solid budget surplus the State Government should have been in a position to cut taxes rather than increase them and at the same time should have been able to afford a boost in the sorts of fiddly little programs they announced yesterday. The money should be there but it has vanished. Where has it gone? In fat consultancies to mates, in a massive increase in public service numbers and in ridiculous pay increases that don’t reflect the low inflation era we are living in. It is a pity that far too many opposition MPs are either out to lunch or working on internal battles to put the pressure on Bracks and Labor at a time when they are most vulnerable

South Africa isn’t the happy clappy place some like to believe

As oppressive as aphartied was, there is nothing much to celebrate in South Africa. One arees with those who have put, what has restrained the ANC in govt. is only because Mugabe showed his true svages colours first. But, South Africa, is still not freedom land, despite what the psychophants in the press and Fat Aunty Bolshevik Collective say.

S Africa’s Mbeki sworn inFrom correspondents in Pretoria

TENS of thousands of South Africans cheered today as President Thabo Mbeki was sworn in to a second term and held mammoth celebrations of a decade of freedom with music, dancing and much pride.

An article by Harry Valentine sums up neatly why, unless the regime mends its glaring defects, S.A. too will become another living hell hole, if it isn’t already;

DIAPERLESS BABIES

Where specious reasoning about non-existent scarcities and other myths can lead you:

The latest Greenie fad is “Diaperless babies”. Yes. They actually see virtue in having babies shit all over the place!

“Scott Noelle, editor of the Continuum Concept website and a father, explained why he eventually stopped using diapers on his infant daughter Olivia, in a web essay titled “Going Diaperless.”
antigreen.blogspot.com/

The Spring St. believe they have stopped for all eternity any company building a dam on the Mitchell , which is rubbish anyway. Instead, Bolt reported the greeny lovers are going to waste another billion dollars of real taxpayers’ money on `recycling sewerage’. So, the greenies can oblige, camp beside the next billioon doall scam, conversion plants, ready to contribute to the great scheme, they can dangle their babies over the pits and let them shit away, freely, capitalist oppressor diapper free.

Notice the additional merits: greenies will cease to be a major cause of global warming, they can live au naturale in bark huts, wipe their bottoms with leaves and grass, eat the occasional non methane emitting polluters like goanas, snake, wallaby - oh, drat, they shit and fart too. They will reduce Co2 since they won’t need electricity, drive cars and, more importanlty, not use the gratest polluters, rail and tram transport.

What a jolly good scheme. I’m all for it.

What is wrong with the statement below?

2000 to quit sugar despite handout
By Greg Roberts
28apr04
“If you are 55, you’ve been on the land for 40 years and for no apparent reason your livelihood is threatened, you get angry about it,” he said.

Answers:

1. The reasons are not mysterious novelties;
2. The reasons and sugar production is a textbook study in what happens when govts. rig, fix, protect, subsidise any side to a market, in this case producers. Eventually, uneconomic, not profitable operations will still fold, be sold off.

It is something both State’s and federal govts. have not, it seems, learned with regards to the automotive industry. Making the Mitsubishi affair worse is the Rann govt’s. promise to make life hell for Chrysler and Mitsubishi should they shut shop in Oz. Next to protection and subsidies, following Rann’s comments on news reports last night, one could be mistaken in assuming it is a major backer of Mitsuibish and wants some of its capital back. Rann and the federal govt. as also the Vicotrian govt. have simply robbed real taxpayers and ensured capital has been expended on ventures which are a drain.

As long as govts. persist with intervention, protectionism, `redistribution’ and so forth, collapses as also of cane production will continue to occur. But then, it is really, rectification of malinvestments. The ugly part is, in corrupting markets, of any type, govts merely ensure far great havoc, with temporary, though difficult, consequences such as sudden unemployment in large numbers.

While it might be nasty for a radio shock jock to make fun of someone with out disclosing it is on a radio broadcast, does it warrant prosecution. Even if it did, in this case certainly not. Two Miami shock jocks managed to drag something revealing out of one totalitarian thug, for whom there are still to be found also in Oz apologists and living of good ol taxpayer kept gravy train:

Castro pranksters fined
From correspondents in Miami, Florida
28apr04

TWO Miami radio journalists were fined $US4000 ($5463) dollars for broadcasting a phone conversation that fooled Cuban President Fidel Castro into believing he was talking with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, they said.

Joe Ferrero and Enrique Santos, of Spanish-language radio station El Zol called the fine absurd and promised to pay a whopping bag of pennies to the Federal Communications Commission in Washington.

The FCC cited a requirement that persons be informed if their telephone conversations are to be broadcast.

In June, the pair, who host a humour show, managed to fake Chavez’s voice and were put through to Castro, who maintained a conversation with the phoney Chavez, a political ally, for 25 minutes, before the Miami-based radio host doing the voice said, “So - you agree that your island is in deep s—?”

“You fell for it!” he shouted.

“What did I fall for you s—-eater … you f—–!” an irate Castro shot back, in addition to some choice insults making reference to the mother of the caller.

In January 2003, the radio station pulled the same trick on Chavez, who was phoned and connected to someone he thought was Castro. He chatted away for 20 minutes before the joke was up.

Miami is home to almost a million Cuban-Americans, mostly anti-Castro, and to tens of thousands of Venezuelans, mostly critics of the leftist-populist Chavez

.

Castro was distraught, because, obviously, he couldn’t have them arrested, thrown into prison, mutilated, then excuted which he and his fellow commie murdering svages freely do to Cubans: and the U.N. never says a word, while the likes of the Clintons, the Gores, and the Kerrys also lick is arse.
