Murderer doesn’t want parole, ever

A MURDERER regarded as the most dangerous man in the Northern Territory prison system scuttled his chances of parole when he told a Darwin court he would kill again if released.
Still dangerous … Murderer Andy Albury on his capture in Darwin in 1985. Picture: Clive Hyde
Admitting he was still a violent man, Andy Albury, 42, fidgeted as he told the territory Supreme Court via video link from Darwin’s Berrimah jail that he expected to spend the rest of his days behind bars. “Cut the crap,” Albury said.
“Everybody knows I’m going to be a risk forever.”
Albury was sentenced to life in jail in 1984 after being convicted of the stabbing murder of an Aboriginal woman in Darwin. Albury cut the breasts from his victim.
Very touching, m’lord:
Yesterday, in a rambling, semi-coherent speech, he said that all he wanted was a hot shower and for his cell walls to be painted green and blue.
Death penalty anyone?
A sensible remark by the judge, however:
But Chief Justice Brian Martin said Albury had shown a “calm and rational self-assessment” of his condition and of the likelihood he would kill again.
Then, this:
Justice Martin said any “right-thinking person” could not help but be moved by Albury’s 10-minute rant, a speech he said gave an insight into the “real human tragedy” of having to lock people up for long periods of time.
Eh?!
Tragedy, a literary form and not, of course, pathos, pity, sorrow, and that which is pathetic, evocation of pity, sorrow, distressing.
A hero falls, their actions might end in disaster but the hero, in any case, is ruined by the end, with or with out violent death, by ceding to their weaknesses, flaws of character, in the face of events.
Albury is neither tragic nor pathetic. He is merely honest in stating what he is, evil.
One fails, further to find anything pathetic and/tragic in the solitary confinement at Albury at all.
Pity is reserved for the woman and her family slain by the scumbag.
Meanwhile, the Spanish believes a terrorist can sue the president of the U.S. , claiming he was torture. I have a better solution: shoot Abderrahmane and sack the bloshies now in govt. With Chriac preapring the French for handover of govt. to Islamo-fasicts, face it, with exceptions like italy, Europe is painted wall to wall white.
Spain’s ‘Taliban’ to sue BushFrom correspondents in Madrid

“We have yet to decide in which legal jurisdiction we will attack. We have the choice between Spain, the United States, or an international jurisdiction,” the lawyer, Marcos Garcia Montes, said.
“We will base our case on the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” he said.
Why,I’m all cut up about his rights, bwaah.
Abderrahmane, dubbed the “Spanish taliban” by the Spanish media and a Muslim from the Spanish north African enclave of Ceuta, is currently free under judicial supervision facing accusations of “belonging to a terrorist cell”.
Top Spanish judge Baltasar Garzon is investigating his case.
I agree with the lawyer:
Hamed Abderrahmane has been a victim of judicial torture. We hope to obtain a penal conviction as well as damages and interest. Mr Abderrahmane deserves that,” his lawyer said.
“Nobody can be imprisoned for so long without seeing a judge or having access to a lawyer.”
How can you hold scumbags like Abderrahmane without shooting them ?!
Worse, one of the Bali killers , Idris, has been handed a 10 year sentence, and may only have to serve 9 of it. Just as in Oz, it seems prison is a mere `professional hazard’, for ruthless, hardened crims who don’t blink at shooting someone .
Idris faces only 10 years

PROSECUTORS have asked that core Bali bomber Idris be jailed for just 10 years, in a light sentence demand almost certainly a result of the appeals court ruling that threaten Indonesia’s anti-terror laws.
Prosecutor Arief Aziz told the court Idris - also known as Jhoni Hendrawan - had been proved guilty of the crimes under the anti-terror laws.
“We demand the judges in South Jakarta court, which has investigated and tried this case, to decide that Idris has been proved guilty of criminal acts, evil agreements and assisting with terrorism,” he said yesterday.
Idris played a crucial role in planning for the Bali bombings, and his partners in the crime have received heavy sentences ranging between life in prison and the death sentence.
Before the hearing began, Idris’s police-appointed lawyer, Sarworini, said she would use the constitutional ruling of last Friday in her defence later in the case. She added she hoped the Bali charges would be dropped entirely, but that depended on the three presiding judges.
A graduate of notorious cleric Abu Bakar Bashir’s Islamic boarding school in Ngruki, central Java, Idris later joined the terrorist network Jemaah Islamiah, according to the indictment.
So, Idris out in 9-10 years, will be free to continue where he left off, planning more mass murders, training Islamo-fascists in terrorism, financing terrorism and so forth. Boggling as that sentence is, his lawyer attempted to obtain an even shorter one.
The recommended penalty should be: drop the scumbag in a pig pen followed, some brief while later, by a hand grenade.
Meanwhile, the estimable John Ray, Dissecting Leftism, has linked a number of articles and research into gun ownership and that the freedom to carry arms is accompanied by a sharp drop in crimes. Even without that, face it, police do not prevent crime, they enter the scene after the fact. It is good to see a police officer, a British one, at last fess up to that fact, as Mr.Ray has also linked:

Oz `laws’ are just more stasiland rot, noting also, criminals still obtain all sorts of firemarms, readily at their unhindered leisure.
Equipped with a pistol, revolver, shotgun, automatic rifle, might not have stopped all that was committed but at least the victim below would have had a fighting chance, as also his wife.
Victim ‘forced to drink acid’
July 28, 2004
FIVE men who allegedly forced a Sydney accountant to swallow acid at gunpoint have been charged with his murder.
Victim … Dominic Li in a family photograph.
Accountant Dominic Li, 45, died on January 2 last year after he was allegedly forced to swallow acid at gunpoint in front of his wife and 14-year-old son on December 13, 2002 at their Concord home.
Five men aged 24-39 were all charged with murder and conspiring to inflict grievous bodily harm. Two were also charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm while the other three also face charges of being an accessory.
Some face assault and firearms charges.
A sixth man was charged with murder but died before he could be extradited from Thailand to Australia last month.
Mr Li’s wife, Chau Ma, said she was pleased charges had been laid.
“I am pleased that the detectives have charged these men,” she said in a statement. “We are still grieving but are trying to get on with life. However, I fear that our lives have been taken away from us forever.”
Detective Sergeant Col Taylor from the South East Asian Crime Squad said the charges were the culmination of an 18-month investigation.
All five men are due to face Central Local Court today.
