I’m stumped, how George Dubya didn’t crack up laughing
LGF has linked each the video of Bush’s U.N. speech and a complete transcript of the same. It reflects a thoroughly decent, honourable man. It would require some self-control,however, to open:
PRESIDENT BUSH: Mr. Secretary General, Mr. President, distinguished delegates, ladies and gentlemen: Thank you for the honor of addressing this General Assembly. The American people respect the idealism that gave life to this organization. And we respect the men and women of the U.N., who stand for peace and human rights in every part of the world. Welcome to New York City, and welcome to the United States of America.
And to conclude in the same vein and throw in during it:
That dignity is honored by the rule of law, limits on the power of the state, respect for women, protection of private property, free speech, equal justice, and religious tolerance
Not only totalitarian, murdering thugs who stuff the U.N., but one can’t imagine the French and the German Govts’. lap dogs doing anything but sit in stony silence. Face it, restricted govt., rule of law, private property, free speech aren’t exactly the sort of things those two govts. are any mood to observe, except only by outlawing them.
George Dubya’s humour, it’s Wilkinonson Sword edged.
( Govt. censorship of the press under both F. and G. govts. has been real for some decades now, unlike the common law countries, something medja leftoids don’t care to reflect on .)
Come to it, there are many in Oz who also would have squirmed in their seats at the bits about:
the bits about liberty, the elimination of savages, the priority of the individual, under rule of law, over any claim of any govt.,his proper identification the freedom of the individual is progress.
The last thing on earth they wish to listen to on earth, isn’t that right Latham , Bob Brown, Brackc, Beattie, Carr.. gad, what a long list of usurious seat squirmers.

I guess the French didn’t just sit stony, they in the form of Chirac offered up their proposal for a global tax. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=40559 aren’t they special? They won’t stand beside us in a time of need but they have no problem demanding a share of our money.
