1. Terri Schiavo:

Acording to the public statement summing up the autopsy report, regions of the brain were permanently destroyed and would not repair: Terri would have never have come out of the coma.

The justification for the killing of Terri was: she is a vegetable; according to her husband, she expressed if she should be so reduced, she would prefer to have her life ended.

That statement by the husband contradicts outright an earlier statement made by him, and is raised again in the material below.

The judiciary having made that decision, killing her by starvation was gruesome, and hypocritical. Worse, the lefties who, clapping their hands at the decision, how `wonderful’, `how compassionate ‘ it was, then cried, `at last she is free to give up her life’, re-iterated by the medja. Disgusting, shallow, and a sign of men and women who are corrupt intellectually and morally. No one `gives up’ their toehold on this mortal chicken roost, they are kicked off it by death, the breaking down of theold bod which commences in the 40’s to 50’s, or hrutled off it sooner by accident or deliberate killing. The hypcrisy, the ordering of her killiing while pretending,, she died `naturally’ and `volitionally’, and even `willed her death’. It would have been mercifiul and not hypcoritical to do as the order was given, kill her with a lethal injection of a fast acting poison.

It should not be forgotten, Terri’s mother and siblings were over-ruled, their points suppressed, in favour of those of her `husband’ and the `professional carers’. Appalling , shocking conduct, on the part of, in particular, the Judges.

The above, one believes, sums up the available, to date, facts of the Terri Schiavo case. Then, along comes a retired LAPD detective, and he has brought his expertise and experience to examining what actually happened. Here is the summary of the book he has published on the case:

Stench, it wreaks of major criminal offences committed by the husband, the `professionals’ who label themselves in Orwellian tone `carers’ [ a nurse is a nurse, and I don’t give a damn whether she does or does not `care’ about patients or not, so long as she does the job she’s paid to do diligently, soame of doctors], to the Judges who handed down that decision, compounded, if Furhman is correct, deliberate perversion of the course of justice in order to protect one criminal behind what was done to Schiavo, the husband, assisted by the `professional medical carers’ who obliged by covering more tracks. The coronor’s report, and one assumes it is true, doesn’t paper over and excuse the actions of all those who are involved , including the judges in this shocking affair. Heads should roll, not just that of the husband.

An Australian Doctor declared on radio, what was done to Terri would not be done in Australia, and Austrlaian doctors certainly would not coutenance. That’s a generalisation which, these days is not altogether secure, and it is rather plausible a judge or two could be dredged up to do as their U.S. counterparts did. As for nurses, well, that they style themselves these days as `professional carers’ sums things up nicely.

2. Corby: it is, as Downer mused, a bit like following a soapie, but not Croby as such is the subject. Medja attention to an arrest made a fortnight ago was confined to a very brief mention on radio, slipped in an early evening news bulletin, the Friday of that week. The report:
A Mexican ghad been detained by customs, and arrsted and charged by Federal Police , and refused bail, on the count of importing a large quantity of cocaine concealed by a false bottom in his suitcase, several kilos of cocaine.

What would happen if he claims as Corby has, and the screamers in Oz howling for blood, the blood of Howard and the INdon judges ? I say, nothing, not even a cricket’s chirrup in support of the Mexican.

The Mexcan is actually on terrae firm compared to Corby. There is the appeal being mounted by the Jpanaese girl who had served a jail term in Victoria ofr importation of cocaine in a concealed bottom of her suitcase. The appeal rests on: her suitcase had been stolen and returned soon before departing on a holiday to Oz. The time involved between theft and return being sufficent for a fasle bottom to have been made in the suitcase. That, the federalmpoliceofficers who conducted the investigation had acted as prosecutor, judge and jury and proceed already skewed to convciting the girl. A number of criminal cases have been thus skewed, aslo in Victoria, in the case of real criminals the problem arises, the case can be dismissed even though the criminals are guilty, and entails the pervsion of justice against some not guilty of whatever the charge is. These counts are not merely circumstantial types of evidence , they are major arguments in her favour, whether she is or is not actually guilty. If the appeal to have her conviction squashed is successful, nothing less than a generous compensation payment to her is on order for what would then be beyond doubt, a gross perversion of justice.

While the screamers have vilified Indon customs and police and judges, thiongs are not spot free in Oz. Perhaps the Mexican should do a Corby and whip up a storm back in Mexico, bring pressure to bear, though guilty, in attempt evade justice. It is worth keeping in clear view, Corby is no better than the Mexican. Even so, one agrees with Frank Devine’s drift:

That rot has not served Corby one bit, has only made her position worse for the appeal. The weakness of the `industrial relations reform’ of the Howard cabiinet is, at bottom,, no govt. should stick their nose into it, should be a matter of common law only. Apart from that, the union bosses, Greg Combet in particular, are misleading what remains of their members, badly.

The bosses are moaning [ I have to dab that tear which escaped from the duct - a bit of dust in the eyeball], this is the end, employees are going to be sacked in their hundreds thousands millions, and put on a serfs pay. Anyone have a clue as to what a serf was paid in the medieval age, I haven’t the foggiest but, slaves in the ancient middle east were paid a leaky wooden hut, a few rags called clothes and a bit of leftover grain to munch on, and some other odds and sods which made life absolutely spiffing in those good old days.

Apart from that, central wage fixing in Oz has: seen many thrown onto the steaming heaps of the unemployed over the century it has been in force, and provided a cover for govts to do the very things which lead to, oh, depressions for instance. Won’t hear Combet running around shouting for Bracks for instance, stop sacking capital for his wunnerful scams or, the RBA forging money hand over fist, neither uttering the dreaded R word, dreaded by politicians that is , the other onerous crippling Oz’s diminishing prospects as emerging a rather very prosperous and contented lot.

I could walk Combet around Victoria, to a rather long listy of employers who pay above the `minimum pay rate’ anyway, and are very good employers, along with a large number of large companies. The union bosses really can’t manage to come to grips with the real economic damage being done by spend, tax and regulate govts., in the case of Victoria, investors are sprouting wings and beginning to flee.

Tyhe clergy support the Junta, not because they fail to realise economic liberty goes hand in hand with prosperity. A PAKISTANI woman, gang-raped in 2002 on the orders of a village council, hopes the country’s Supreme Court will reimpose death sentences on her attackers.

The Supreme Court last night began hearing an appeal by Mukhtaran Mai against the acquittal of five of six men convicted of the assault on her.

Mike has supplied some prolix items on what happens to women who kiss a man, walk about in public, or, have been raped. A picture of an Iranian women, `convicted’ by a shria court was harrowing , buried in a pit up to her chest, shortly before being stoned to death.

MARIA Korp will not be resuscitated if her condition deteriorates. The Supreme Court was urged yesterday to give her attacker Tania Lee-Anne Herman hope for the future ? but was told her victim had no future.

The court heard her view of relationships had been distorted by childhood sexual abuse.

Defence barrister Julie Sutherland said that after violent and unsuccessful relationships, Herman longed for a lifelong partner who would protect her when “along came Joe”.

She said her client had lived a blemish-free life, despite the sexual abuse, two failed marriages and a battle with cervical cancer until she met Mr Korp in an internet chat room.

But the prosecutor butted in:

Mr Rapke said while Herman’s co-operation, good record and remorse should be considered, her crime was cold-blooded and callous, and topped the scale of attempted murder cases.

Does, even when true, some trauma of the past vitiate the callousness of a murderer. The only thing in Herman’s favour is as, Rapke, said, her compuntion over what she committed. Good. That someone has suffered violence, might be considered, to the contrary, as motivation to ensure they have nothing to do with those bent on violence and himself not become complicit even just by ading and abetting. `I was subjected to cruelty’ cannot be a defence for violent crime and, in Herman’s case, a pre-meditated crime at that. She will have to face up to what will be dealt out to her.

By way of contrast, the S.S. commander, WWII, Rome, who hunted the American Monsignor, in a cat and mouse game. At the end of the war, they became friends, the S.S. officer repented and became a Christian. the Monsignor, however, told him, he will still have to face up to his past, even if thta means the death sentence, and should accept that as just retribution. He was not given the death penalty, he was given life. The man had so changed in character, the sentence was commuted and released early. That he was released early is not the same as he expected to be, indeed, precisely the point, he expected to be executed and made no complaint against that prospect, just he did not complain about the life sentence.That was a man who, once steeped in blood did not seek an out, and so changed in character that he faced whatever was dealt out to him with decency.He did not, for example, plead, `Well, that was how things were, and I, with many others were swept away by Nazism and that turned me into a killer.’ He offered no special pleading as an attempt to evade justice.

In Oz today, violent criminals are just misunderstood `persons’ who were `abused’ in their childhood and thus, miraculously turned into murderers.

On Sunday’s Faris’ 3 AW panel show, Phil Cleary contradicted himself. Cleary was not as malicious as Jaspan on Woods’ comment, the terrorists are arseholes, but he came out with something no less shocking: `it is important to understand why they are terrorists’, that `they are terrorists because of the persecution of Arab-Muslims in the Middle East, in Palestine, the war against Saddam was illegal’.

So, the nasty West, the Coalition in particular, and Israel, made them the mass murdering totalitarian bastards they are. Despite all the screaming about poor bloody Muslims, one thing stands out: the West and Israel are not noted for that ,`persecuting them’. To the contrary, many in the West would not give a damn about Islam and Muslims if it were not for two pernickety matters: the very large numbers of Islamo-facsists throughout the world, and that most of the terrorism today is committed by muslims, noting the IRA trains Hamas and the other cells in the `Palestinian Territory’.

So, Woods really is a nasty, greedy capitlaist pig. Then a change came over Cleary when he mentioned the murderer of his sister, that the murderer was given a 3 & 1/2 years jail sentence.

The sister was a prrimary school teacher and, one morning, when she turned up and parked outside the school to begin another day in the classroom, the murderer was waiting for her. In broad day-light , he appraoched her as she got of the car and, after chasing her around the car, closd in and stabbed a number of times dead.

The police prosecutor, despite all the evidence, settled on the lesser charge of `manslaughter’. The defence claimed the girl had provoked the murderer, the judge accepted that claim as true and thus the vermin was given, a light sentence. He committed suicide a couple of years later but, as Cleary said, there was no solace, no compensation for justice having not been delivered, and the grief the outrageously inadequate sentence caused his parents, Cleary, properly, demanding the Judge write a letter of his sincerest remorse at having set a vioent criminal scumbag free.

Ceary noted, the murderer already had, by that trial, a long record of violent crime, and that he should have been permanently removed form the streets of Melbourne because he was a violent scumbag.

Good, quite right. The sentence was a shocking miscaariage by the Judge: how on earth could he have contemplated such a low sentence for a cold blooded murderer? How could he have done so and let such a type who also had a long record of violence , entailing that after 3 and a 1/2 years he would have been, if it were not for his suicide, back out on the streets and, in view of his character and form, most likely murder someone else?

More-over, how could the Judge have accepted the defence of `provocation’. How does anyone provoke anyone to commit murder, in this case, a pre-meditated, cold blooded murder. Indeed, what was the bloody police prosecutor on, drugs?, when he accepted the lesser charge when, nothing less than the count of murder was in order, seeking a literal life sentence and, if it were available, the defence penalty.

What does `porvocation’ mean. Contrast, the legitimate acte of self - defence, which must satisfy a number of tests, which are stiff tests. `Provocation’ is not a stiffly tested defence, to the contrary, it is so rubbery that, why violent killers can virtually get off Scott free, to do it again after a brief stay in a hotel which is risibly called a prison for hardened, violent scumbags in Oz.

But what does Cleary have to complain of. He professed, cold-blooded murdering Arab-Islamo -fascist vermin desere sincere empathy, that Woods was wrong, and nasty calling them arseholes. Surely, no less applies to such as the above scumbag. Indeed, the Judge emphathised with the scumbag , `the defendant was provoked’. It would be interesting to read the transcript because, by `provoked’ one infers the Judge did empathise with the killer, something like, `Oh, the young lady was oh so cruel to a complete stranger’, and `tormented him’ and that is why he :

a. Must have been tracking her
b. Must have planned the murder, shown by:
c. He waited for her to arrive for another school day, approached her, weilding a knife and stabbed her dead.

But surely, Cleary must find it in his heart, to empathise with the murderer, as the Judge did, because, that murderer is the same type as those Arab-Islamo-Fascist- Mass Murdering scumbags who kidnapped Woods, and a number of Iraqis, inclusive of those held with Woods, who murdered two of them who had alsobeen employees of Woods, thus to the unutterable grief of those families, along with all else they have murdered before. I don’t empathise at all, with the scumbags, nor do I with the killer of Cleary’s sister.

Cleary’s moral equivalence and eqivocation on the mass murdering totlaitarain bastards in the middle East is puzzling, particulary in view of his first hand experience of just such a type, and Cleary left listeners in no doubt he did not emphathise with that killer too. Equivalence by way of, the scumbags warrant the same regard as, say, someone in genuine misfortune. Equivocation, a crude one, resting, what is the difference between them and the killer of his sister?

Let’s heighten things a bit more.
