A PAKISTANI woman, gang-raped in 2002 on the orders of a village council, hopes the country’s Supreme Court will reimpose death sentences on her attackers.

The Supreme Court last night began hearing an appeal by Mukhtaran Mai against the acquittal of five of six men convicted of the assault on her.
