Premier Brumby called Victorians Liars

In June, Brumby called residents of the Goulburn valley liars. The residents object to the Victorian Government’s scheme to “pipe 75 billion litres of water to Melbourne over the Great Dividing Range” from the region’s dam, the Sugarloaf. Their objection is understandable; it means nothing less than cutting the water supply to firms and residents of the region. It is a con trick, which might or might not pacify Melbournians but has voters supplied by the Sugarloaf on the warpath.

The Orwellian name for the scheme is worthy of the defunct Societ regime, Foodbowl Modernisation Project, on which the Cabinet is blowing a minimum $3billion, that is $3billions minimum stolen from taxpayers to achieve nothing much at all, but cut water supply to the Goulburn.

The scheme is part of what could be called a two pronged skewering of Victorians. The second prong is the salt water desalination plant. This scheme involves the sequestration of valuable land to build a plant that, assuming it runs to specification, will produce at most 1/3 of Melbourne’s current water supply needs, the deficiency of this sharpened by the projected increase in Melbourne’s population over coming years. The burden of the desal. is put at already $3b-5b. Brumby will ‘power’ it with another blackhole called a windmill farm.

Last year, enough water poured down the Mitchell to fill Victoria’s catchments several times. The same volume gushed down the Otways and out to sea. The cost to build a massive dam on the Mitchell, is estimated at a little over $1billion.

What is driving this fraud against Victorians? The cult of environmentalism. The lie of man causing climate change has been used to justify what is an atrocious white elephant. Brumby, as Premier also added this load of moronic tripe:

You can’t create rain, that’s why we have to examine alternatives

How he managed to pass prep school science is a mystery. The rotten thing is, those strangling the Victorian Liberal Party support a desal plant. As over windmill farms, they have fought the Government only over location.

For what is a larcenous project, Victorians will not only be slugged with taxes but, for good measure, large increases in water prices. This is opposite to what entrepeneurs do in free markets.

Market failure does not occur in free markets. It is only a failure of governments - they can corrupt them. Or, they can destroy them, or they can squander billions on things that are not investments and deliver very little that is actually demanded. Seizing capital, taking it away from genuine production and wiping it out is their forte. This is what Victorians are getting, absolutely nothing. Billions wiped out and Victorians will be left with ever diminishing water supply. It’s a reflection on also the “Right” - a bloody disgrace.

(As on Co2 taxes, Bolt has also remained silent on his pals in the “Right” who have pushed such schemes. But then, Bolt pushes the food production destroying carbon tax called ethanol production.)

Thus, amusingly, the following headed this morning’s radio news bulletins:

Mr Cornell, who finished an 11-year stint at the top of Yarra Valley Water - Melbourne’s biggest water retailer - on June 30, said he believed the ban on new dams was ridiculous and should be “revisited”.

“If a precious resource is going straight into the sea, pure water out of the sky, why wouldn’t you attempt to capture it?” he said.

The answer to Mr. Cornell is; because human lives and prosperity are being sacrificed on the Altar of the Greens’ Stalinist Cult of Death, this and the Brumby - Bracks Cabinets are neo-Marxist cretins.

In the meantime:

While the diseased Left have been free to run riot in ‘peace’ and ‘anti-globalism’ (read anti- free markets and capital and all such good things) ‘demonstrations’, cause mayhem for forestry companies, and other firms targeted by the Left, Brumby and Hulls have decided to thrown into prison any who demonstrate against the desalination plant. Victoria Police have been sent into Wonthaggi today, with orders to arrest those taking part in a demonstration on the site against the proposed ‘plant’.

This is Brackistan.

Hmmm: Malcolm Turnbull holds to the falsehood, forcing prices up delivers economic efficiency in the supply of goods. No, it doesn’t, quite the reverse. It means decreasing efficiency, matched with cut in supply - shortages. The above is one more demonstration of this.

Oh, as of energy, no water, no production. So what Bracks and Brumby have triggered has wider, economically destructive force. But then, that is the sum total of the neo-Marxist-Green death cult cabinets of Bracks and Brumby, ably supported by cretins who have wrecked the Victoran Liberal Party.

HOMES and businesses will be hit with a water price rise of almost 15 per cent from July 1.

The increase follows the Brumby Government’s decision last August to fix Melbourne water prices, which are set to double by 2012…

And that little, stupid, totalitarian inclined, parasitical thug called Brumby and his Cabinet of retarded morons have the hide to call Victorians liars!

While on the subject of water, The Murray-Dowling River Basin

During the drought, the existing damns and weirs along the river have performed very well. Without them, the Murray Dowling basin would have dried out altogether. That is what used to happen before they were erected. The problem is the same as Victoria’s water supply problem, the hatred of new dams.

Penny Wong, Rudds Kommissar for unleashing carbon tax hell, announced she will sezie $12b from Australians and blow it away on the wind of ’saving the Murray Dowling’ and making ‘it healthy again’. The pantheism contained in that stupid notion, ‘healthy rivers’, aside, Warwick Hughes has attempted to inject some sanity before it is $12+ too late:

Open letter to: Minister for Climate Change and WaterMay 1st, 2008 by Warwick Hughes

The problem is, the last thing Wong and Rudd are about is truth, as their willingness to assert the fraud of co2 causes climate change and co2 taxes shows. I’m not saying they believe in the lie - rather the opposite, as it was for ‘watermelon reds’ in the Liberal Party the lie is an excuse for something else, and this is why any sound advice will be rejected by them.
