“F” is typical of the Right
In his/her comment on, Kevin Rudd’s new way, Corporativa and Zwangswirtschaft F gave the “Right’s” and their anti-free market plunk tanks the Centre for Independent Studies and Institute of Public Affairs typical knee jerk response:
You are so dopey, you can’t even get the CIS’s name right. Go and drink some of the bilge you keeping going on about. What a joke you are Gerry.
Mind, that is how they prepare their heady papers and columns, they open their jaw first. Then, they are a-neuronal, so there is nothing to engage, even after it’s too late. The diseased Left love them.
“F” is obviously upset, something hurt him/her. Perhaps it’s to do with what was faithfully related, the drongo “Right” paved the way for Kevin “little Mussolini” Rudd and his Cabinet of brown pantalooned, poncing morons, inclusive of a long list of anti-free market measures, watermelon red policies and other monstrosities. Though, no-one is accusing them of being loaded with even a tiny fraction of an economics brain.
I am flattered that not only “F”, but others sensitive about these two clunk tanks, call me “Gerry”. Mr. Jackson is a fine economist and forthright in his work. It would be nice, therefore, to claim his command of economics as another string to my bow but I cannot. I cannot even claim that I have met the man in order to merely lift his devestating articles off his desk to claim as my own. This is a pity because, Jackson is respected internationally, with the ACTU and the ILO in Geneva paying careful attention to Jackson.
No-one cites anyone from the CIS, IPA and HR Nicholls Society. No-one is that stupid as to cite any of them. They have to make do as they do with citing each other and elevating their comic strips to classics in economics. Who can argue with the big-headed?
Oh, a correction, there are some who cite their ‘efforts’, as a ready made weapon of destroying sound causes. The ACTU did over labour market reform, and the Rudd Cabinet is also drawing upon their Nobel Prize winning theses in how to get things completely wrong. For good measure, they are also drawing on the stunning contribution to how to make the half-witted look bright, Ken Phillips’ “master-servant relationship” paper. As they are also doing in regard to the CIS’ unconsionable propaganda piece - bring on ‘economic destruction day via Co2 taxes’. Have the CIS and the IPA magnified Andrew Bolt’s masterpiece, pushing food production destroying ethanol scams (also a Co2 tax), as another terrific classic yet? The IPA does have a whole library dedicated to the masterpieces in literature by Tim Blair.
Before further ado, F is in need of a correction. The two mistakes he refers to are deliberate. “Indendent”, for Independent should be clear enough, torn, fragmented, a right useless mess. “Centre of Indpendent’s…’ seemed an obvious play on the name. Apparently not, but then no one is saying they are not tin eared.
As a refinorcing demonstration, once I used the word ‘poor’, realising it would goad one of these clowns further in an ad hominem reaction and it did. The chump doesn’t realise it but it’s the definition ‘humility’ and not destitution. Poor, poverty are, bye the bye, badly translated from the Greek word, which in the NT means the humble and humility. These two words are totally alien to the hubristic, arrogant ‘Right’. There is no helping the stone deaf.
The CIS and IPA are well funded and stuffed with staff, and with the HR Nicholls Society tacked on. For all the millions of dollars poured into their bank vaults, all that they can manage is paltry and risible. Bastiat did not have the appallingly bad in view when he commented the worst attack is an inept defence. In contrast, Jackson singlehandedly does the work they are handsomely paid to do but fail badly in. Bastiat did not have the
While this lot luxuriate and idle in plush clubrooms offices, Jackson might be sweating away in a little tin-shed. Anyone who is acquainted with Jackson might say whether this is so, and how large a shed it is. Could it fit inside a small room or in a corner only?
Despite the lack of roomy comfort, Jackson, as economist and as editor of Brookesnews, hits and hurts his targets. The plink tanks, in contrast, do not merely fail to do this, they tickle their ‘targets’ into rib tickling laughter. To cap off such a splendid display of principles and courage, they grovel before them, apologising to them when they have hurt the feelings of a hard Leftist, and generally go out of their way to be awfully nice to the diseased Left.
Hugh Morgan even donated a hefty ‘pay packet’ to one of them, Trish Caswell, when he was busily destroying multi-billion dollar WMC that was set to become an even greater international leader until Sir Arvo Parbo gave in and promoted Morgan. This alone is demonstration as to why no-one sensible should give the time of day to nagging Toorak Doctors’ wives and those other women in the CIS, IPA and HR Nicholls Society. Darn, they are all an insult to women.
