Even My 3 month old Daughter Gets it

Future First Female Prime Minister

I was chatting with my three month old Future First Female Prime Minister of a daughter the other day and we were discussing the news report that had just been announced.

“So Daddy, whats the go with this Kim Jong Il nutjob?? Is he for real or what?”? She opined.

“How do you mean?” was my reply.? Though I must admit that I was somewhat taken aback by the fact that my three month old daughter had suddenly decided to chat to me.? Notwithstanding my natural pride in the fact that it had happened.

“I mean, whats his deal?? Seriously though.? His people are starving, and he goes and builds a bloody nuke?” said FFFPM.

“I don’t think that is a good word for a little girl to be using, but I can see your point.? What I don’t understand is why we are helping him do it.”

She looked at me askance.? “What do you mean, Daddy?? How are we helping him do that?”

“Well, my little baby girl, the Australian Government has kindly supplied $800 Million in food aid to that god-forsaken regime.? So by providing this, it means that Kimmy Boy can go and rock his socks off with a nuke or two, firmly in the knowledge that somebody else will look after the kids at home.”

“Its like this.? You know how Daddy likes his pistols and rifles.? Well, imagine if just after he gets paid next month, he goes out and buys a Bushmaster Cannon.? You know how I have always wanted one.? Well, imagine if I go out and get one.? I won’t have any money left for food for my little girl.? So then the government steps in and gives you some food.? What have I learned?? That I can play with my guns, knowing that somebody else will be doing the responsibility thing for me.? I think next month I will need a few nuke tipped rounds.? But thats ok, because the Government will pony up the food that I should be buying for you.”

“But Daddy,”said FFFPM,” are you saying that the world should simply let them starve?? Isn’t that a mean and terribly inhumane thing to do?? All those poor people starving, simply because their Dear Leader decided that it was more important for him to have a nuclear weapon, than his people to have food to eat.”

“Baby Girl, sometimes the hardest lessons are the most rewarding. If nothing else, maybe his people might eventually learn what a monstrous evil they have in the boufanted one.”
