How Time Flies
I haven’t been in here for quite a while. For some reason, the ought of sitting down and writing anything on this blog gave me a strong urge to run far far away. No idea why. Just didn’t have anything in me to profess / condemn / admit / insert your own personal favorite.
Its not that my life has been dull, far from it. I have changed jobs and moved over to a freight forwarder rather than having to put up with the ructions and disappointments of Planet TNT. I think the last straw for me was their environmentally sensitive policy. Imagine for a minute, the gross hypocrisy of a transport company indoctrinating their staff with Gore’s patent brand of bull shit and selling it as a social conscience. Not merely the hypocrisy, but the unadulterated cheek. Especially when the entire push was for staff to make changes to offset the emissions caused by TNT’s freight linehaul.
Sorry I have my own religious faith thank you very much, and if yo keep it up, I will do to you what I do to Mormons who knock on my front door, though with water restrictions, its getting harder and harder to turn the hose of them these days. The neighbours tend to give you that look. You know the one I mean. The “Thanks for doing that but try to keep it quieter next time look”. The same look they give the busybody old bat that rings the wallopers every time the kids over the road have a party.
The future first female prime minister got her head wet over the last weekend. I am sure it was meaningful for all concerned, though I am a tad perplexed by the fact that the doorway creaked as I carried her in to the chapel. Is that a portent of trouble to come?
Though I think the big reason for my lack of interest in blogging is simply the fact that I am feeling incredible antipathy toward the political world at the moment. How hard is it to condemn the sloth and extravagance of the Labor Party, and not do the same for the Liberal Party. Even worse, the duplicity and asinine pigs-to-the-trough mentality of both of them.
I have always been a supporter of the National Party, despite their agrarian socialist roots. Not because I have any particular desire to punch cattle, or plant wheat, but the simple fact that I admired the no holds barred lazzai Faire attitude to business development.
I admit they were corrupt as hell and could have given Huey Long lessons in political patronage, but you cannot condemn the for cracking down on idiot unionists, greenies, commie scum and the other assorted detritus and refuse of society.
How Joh would roll over in his grave now. At least when he bribed someone, it was to get an outcome. These current Nat hacks are just a joke. Chuck a heap of cash at the bush and hope they forgive the government and start liking them again. What absolute crap. It is nothing but a recipe for more single issue idiot independants.
So I am less interested in commenting these days as I have become far too disillusioned by the goings-on.
Have no fear though, come the Federal election, I will no doubt be slinging in to the ALP again for the simple fact that I despise everything about them, and only most about the Coalition.
That’s how I feel

Well, even if you haven’t been around as much, at least your back. In the words of Bender, now you can bite my shiny metal ass!
