Sympathy for the She-Devil

Remember when we used to just pity poor deranged bag-ladies. Remember the good old days when your mother would take your hand and pull you to the other side of the street with a firm but soft voice and say something like “Don’t stare Johnny or Janey, it isn’t polite to make fun of the intellectully handicapped. She can’t help it, she’s just screwey in the head.”
Now, we make documentaries about the insane and try to “understand” their insanity.
Personally, I prefer to take the views of my mother from all those many years ago. They are just screwy in the head.
